Drumming is a great way of relieving stress, connecting, relaxing, aerobic exercise, finding your own rythms and is also known for its healing powers. This is a fun and social get together, for anyone who loves drumming or would like to have a go! Other instruments most welcome. All ages and abilities catered for (beginners welcome). Hand drums, percussion and basic tuition included.
This was a quote from the drumming session at the Ash Primary School fete on the 6.6.08 where many families and people of all ages played drums for their first time on straw bails blessed with beautiful sunlight.
Chris (45 years old) "I felt an ancestral awakening as I found a deep natural rhythm it was nice and so was the lady." Other comments included lots of "WOW" from kids aged 5 to 15 years old and "this is amazing" from Agatha (14yrs).
I would like to thank everyone for your enthusiasm and courage to try something new and hope to see you again either at my future drumming sessions or for your own private parties – as kindly offered by one of the parents.

We often have impromptu parties and events, if you would like to be invited to these please forward your email address and phone number using the contact details below. All these venues are wheel chair friendly and we welcome and encourage people of all abilities. Please bring any support you may need with you and everyone is responsible for management of their own actions and bodily needs, eg. if your hands are hurting pick up something to shake and give them a rest etc.
Please do not bring alcoholic beverages to the Friends Meeting house venues. (This is a condition of the room hire.)
