I am Ethan and I learned that music can bring people together.Ethan
I learnt about the drums and the notes that go with it, like high and low. The thing that amaxed me was the clothes they wear because the patterns are nice and the colours mean something like; blue is the water and the yellow the sun.Brooke
I felt absolutely fablulous and I felt like a bird in the sky and felt really drumming fast was fantastic.Kyle
I liked the rain stick because it had an amazing effect and an excelent sound. The vibrations of the drum caused air to come out of the bottom and it tickled my hand.Levi | We enjoyed making lots of noise with the drums and I really enjoyed learning about the skin that the drum was made of. I learned that cows and goats were the most Popular skins to have on drums. I felt happy because it was something I was pretty good at.The best part was when we got to make a lot of noise with the drums. I really enjoyed it!Matthew |
I really enjoyed playing the different drums and different ways of bringing people together through the music of the drums. I also enjoyed playing the different notes and how to say high and low in African. I didn't know you could play different notes on a drum! But I do know now! The drums felt quite smooth.Ellie
I enjoyed myself very much when you came in (and my class mates all agree.) The best part was at the end when we sang that brilliant song with the percussion. I also enjoyed it when we passed the drums around so we got to feel some different drums. I felt proud when I learn't how to make the sound higher or lower.Luke
I thought the facts you told us about Africa were incredible. I didn't know music could do so much! I also liked the fact that we each had a drum to ourselves because usually in music lessons we have to share.I felt quite good because we all got on with it. Usually when we use other instruments, we have to keep stopping and starting again and again, because no-one sticks to the same time.Ella
That song I really liked and when we got split into 2 groups and were playing different tune. I even liked it when we played different percussion. I enjoyed it all. When I saw the drums I felt nervous and I thought I couldn't do it but once I learnt it I felt like yer I can do it and I felt happy.I really liked it and I would like to do it again and I hope the rest of year5 does I think you are a professional and an expert.Tamsin
I really enjoyed playing the drums and learning the songs and doing all the actions for the song. What was really good was learning the names of all of the drums.Simon
I really enjoyed getting to learn different African songs and being allowed to hit the drums really hard especially the bass drum with Jordan.I learnt that a little bit of scrapped metal can make an amazing sound, and that the sound brings people together. All the Africans dance, sing and make amazing sounds, it was really uplifting.Sam
I really enjoyed playing different notes and hitting the drums with the different parts of our hands, I didn't even know how to play a drum until you came in!When I hit the drum really hard it feels really funny when it vibrated on your hand. A nice enjoyable treat.Megan
I learned a lot about African Clothes and about their life style. I thought it was really amazing that they used wax to help make such a colourful pattern. I also learned that most of the drums skins were goats, and how to play a drum properly.Daniel
I really enjoyed learning how to play the drums and looking at African clothes. I learnt how to play low and high pitched notes on the drums and I also learnt words to the songs you taught us. I felt happy playing the drums.Holly
I enjoyed making lots of noise and we swopped drums each time we played them. You can feel the vibration on the drums and at the end we sang a song with other instruments not drums and the bigger the drum the lower the pitch, the smaller the higher.Connor
I felt really happy, amazed and excited when we were playing together.Zoe
I never knew some drums were made of clay. The clothes were cool too. It felt really good when we were playing the two complimenting rhythms.Fred
