Ronni's Women's Workshop Page

Ronni is starting a free womens empowerment group who will meet regularly in the new year in Glastonbury. This will begin with a free taster day in Glastonbury on the 16th of November 2008, 11 am to 4 pm. See Flyer below.

This will be in association with The Dakini Temple.

The address for the above taster day is Bridies Yard, Northover Buildings,Beckery Old Rd, Glastonbury.BA6 9NU It's on the Street side of Glastonbury behind the knocked down old factory, where they have built new traffic lights etc. There is just a small yellow door on the road which is not very obvious so look for the row of cars as a marker.The phone no there is 01458 830577 and Ronni's mobile is 07949 273 703 if you can't find it. We suggest you arrive from 10.30am onwards to be ready for 11am start.

Things to bring:

  • something to lie on and cover up with ( you can get cold when detoxing during the crystal bowls sound bathing)
  • trousers are better for playing /holding drums with
  • layered comfortable clothing for dancing, money belts, wrap over skirts to go over trousers
  • water to drink
  • delicious veggie, gentle , grounding food to share
  • money towards the room hire and sundry costs
  • diary and pen to swap any phone no's etc
  • an openness to explore ,try new things, and honour the beautiful goddess that you are

    • If we have enough interest it may be possible to start 3 new groups eg.

    1) a group for mums with children at school to meet one morning a week

    2) a group for women with family members with alcohol/drugs abuse issues ( they may be able to meet the same day and venue as group 1 , but in the afternoon to reduce costs)

    3) an evening group for those at work

    Each of these groups will meet again at a time they mutually agree to complete their own grant application form to meet their own specific requirements ( this could include equipment , like their own drums, crystal bowls, video camera, cd recording equipment, travel expenses, child minder/creche cost etc)-which is sent off to arrive by the 24th November.

    Successful groups will get the grant money by the end of December 2008 to be able to start up their group in the New Year 2009.
